Port Townsend and Jefferson County are very accessible by bicycle with miles of dedicated bicycle lanes on streets as well as off-street trails. The convenient bike racks on the front of Jefferson Transit and Clallam Transit buses greatly expand the range of areas reachable by bicycle.

Bicycling Maps – The City of Port Townsend Walking and Biking Guide Map shows bike routes in the city, and also shows the Larry Scott Trail, part of the Olympic Discovery Trail. The Olympic Discovery Trail website has loads of information on that trail which eventually will go from Port Townsend all the way to the Pacific Ocean, and many sections are in place.

Bicycle Rentals – The Recyclery and Broken Spoke both have rentals. A range of bicycles (mountain, road) available for rent by the hour, day, or week. A good way of deciding what type of bike is right for you, or for those visiting from out of town.
