Electric bicycles, electric scooters, and electric cars are all excellent ways to get around the community. They fit perfectly with the 25 mph speed limit on most city streets. They run at 1/10th or less of the cost and CO2 emissions of gas-fueled vehicles.

Electric Bicycles: These are electric-assisted and can be propelled with or without the electric motor. See the Bicycling Resources page.

Electric Vehicles: The Sierra Club provides a great guide to electric vehicles.

Rental of Scooters, Cars, and Trucks: Gary’s Cars and Trucks: Try out a scooter. Rent a pick-up truck when you need one, instead of owning one, and save on the large amount of embedded energy and CO2 it costs to produce a vehicle.

Green Vehicle GuideThis EPA site rates current gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles on fuel efficiency, greenhouse gas pollution, and air pollution.
